i have keyless entry, but if i leave the other key (door key) at home, i wont be able to get into my trunk and/or take back seats down, and/or open the car if something happened to the keyless entry. naw'saying?

Is it a real pain in your *** to have another key on your key-ring "just in case"? If it is, you can hide it on the car somewhere so you can get to it if you need it.

It means they'll make your ignition cylinder work with a different key.

No, a valet key only works for the driver's door and the ignition. It's not normal at all not have a key that doesn't work everything.
