Honda dealers will retumble your ignition to another key for a small fee.

Get keyless entry installed. Problem solved. Otherwise, look at it as an extra security measure.

Is it a real pain in your *** to have another key on your key-ring "just in case"? If it is, you can hide it on the car somewhere so you can get to it if you need it.

It means they'll make your ignition cylinder work with a different key.

i thought it was normal to have to different keys? My 96 Civic EX has a key that does all the doors and one for the ignition. I thought I heard it called a Valet Key.

No, a valet key only works for the driver's door and the ignition. It's not normal at all not have a key that doesn't work everything.
