Default 2 eg6's one big problem

the name is Norrek, i joined this site a while back when i though i was getting a honda, never did! so now that i do own two of them i'm gonna introduce myself! I'm norrek and I'm from killeen, tx!

okay over the past week i picked up two 92 eg's for a total of $2600, the first EG has an H23 in it and runs just fine for the most part! and the second eg6 has a crv b20 in it and the head gasket is blown! these are my first hondas ever (nismo head) and i bought them because i knew it was a steal. but i was wondering how hard is it to fix a blown head gasket! can i use a different head off a say b16, or b18 or something?

h23 eg6

b20 eg6 (i bought it from that guy with the honda shirt!)

yeah you can do a b20/vtec but its more than just putting a head on...there are certain things you have to do for it to run the right way.

I would sell the white one and go for the b20vtec on the black one. It's not hard to do it you have the money to finish it. It would yield a lot of power and it would be great to drive. good luck....

Changing the headgasket isnt hard: the crank pulley bolt is the hardest part of it (i had to use a 3/4 impact gun), then take the pulley, and timing belt cover off. Then the belt, then the head comes right off and thats all there is to it. Also, put a h22a head on that h23 eg lol.

it would be nice to have a b20/vtec hatch...thats what im in the process of building. IMO get rid of those wheels...those things look like dubs on a civic. the wheels on the white car look better...swap them out.

it really isn't that easy to do the headgasket...you have to take off the cam caps and all them bolts under the valve cover in order to be able to pull the head off...gl man
