2.5 inch catback too much?
for a stock d16? my stock cat has a hole in one end of the neck, and i have a full greddy evo2 with test pipe waiting to go on with my 200whp swap...but i was thinking of just putting the exhaust on now since its stainless...but the piping is massive! is it too much for the stock d16 to handle?

Just put the piping in, it's a sohc and it's not gonna be a very noticeable difference. Now about the cat, do you have emissions and testing crap? if not than dont worry about it. If its for a secondary o2 sensor have a bung welded and put it in.

flame time, if i would have read this part i would not have even tried to help you, why? cause your being ****, 2.3 is NOT massive, its standard for sohc's. if your so damn worried and your going to keep asking us all for PROOF then dont ******* do it man, sorry our real world experience is not good enough, sorry we dont have a ******* dyno graph to show you that what 60mm with no cat does on a soch. were all telling you the same thing, everybody on this board has owned a sohc theres not much to it. your making a huge deal out of something that is not a huge deal, and honestly you should run 2.5" WITH a cat if your only making 200hp. **** people

calm down man it smy daily for the next 4 months and i dont want it to be running like **** cuz i put the exhaust on. all i was trying to do was make sure it was people with first hand knowledge of doing it and not just kids saying oh yeah do it it will work.
i just came out of a 400whp boosted non honda so im sorry if i dont know that 2.3 inch piping isnt too much for a 90whp n/a motor. the motor is being built following a setup that will atleast make 200whp in the end....with tuning and a shot of nitrous i thinki be running no cat on the final setup but thats 4-6 months away so ill figure it out then...thanks

1st off your car makes ZERO power....2nd, back pressure is the enemy of higher revving engine that makes said ZERO power in the upper-rpm range.
don't worry about running no cat/high flow cat + 2.5" piping....i had the same setup on my '92 Si stock sohc....i ran it like this with I/H for a while before camming it
