2.5" exhaust on my y7
Ok, bought some Generic Header that was made by this guy a while back for my civic it has a true 2.5" collector and 2.5" all the way back, even the Cat is 2.5" on both sides all hooked up to a HKS HI power muffler. Now i have the silencer in there and it's still kinda loud, would a resonator even help in my situation and having all this mad "flow" hurting me as far as backpressure.

damn a 2.5 inch all the way back on a y7. u are getting no back pressure at all low end must suck huh. any way a good resonator will tone down the noise. the longer the resonator the more noise it will tone down.

Re: (94jrscgsr)
back preasure is not good at anytime..what is need d is a steady flow of
fast exhaust gas s..
the problem with an oversize d pipe is that the air begins to tumble and slow down
robbing u of low end performance and creating a terrible bumble bee sound
unless ur running a turbo which a 3" is recommend..our 4 bangers should not exceed 2.25"..and even at that ur pushing the limits on a shitty motor
checkout the magnaflow site..there alot of magazine articles with this subject
address d..lots of read but very informative
