When I floor my civic in 1st gear it makes a weird sound past vtec. So about 5000 it sounds like a "weird" humming noise. It just sounds like air is being displaced somewhere it should not be. There appear to be no holes in the headers or exhaust...anyone have any suggestions to look at?

**** if ity still goes and ur not losing any performance dont mess with it. when i let of the gas in my car it make a weird fish tank noiuse but it didnt effect teh performance...if it aint broke dont fix it

you sure its not just the sound of VTEC??? You know more air being pulled into the engine throuigh the filter

Thanks, I was thinking to leave it alone and see what happens. Hopefully nothing will. Maybe 2morrow i will put on the silencer ans see if it sounds any better. Maybe im not used to it cuz i just took off the silencer.

True true, I mean the vtec sounds was never BIG, but that actually might be it! I just changed over the air filter, new sparks and some other stuff...
