1k-3k popping when letting off the gas

1k-3k popping when letting off the gas
Hey,
I know this is a popular problem, so here it goes.. BTW - The car is a 99 DX HB D16Y8
I had replaced the manifold with a 4-2-1 polished Si header going to a hi-flow cat coverter to a 2.5' Bomz cat-back system to a noisy 3.5' muff.. Anyways, between 1k-3k if I let off the gas I will experiance a loud popping sound. (beleve the correct term is "blowback")?
What area's might need looking into to correct this issue? Sorry for the newbieness, I not worthly...

Are you talking about back firing? My car does it sometimes when I let off the throttle near crossover, it's from a less restrictive open canister exhaust system.

Mine does the same thing. It's not a backfire. It's fairly common with upgraded (larger piped) exhausts. It also happens if the muffler is removed.
