well, i heard in order to boost reliably i would need to have the block bored to 81.5 becuase the sleeves go out of round over time, into a slight oval. Or could i just boost moderately on a stock bottom end. what are your em1 turbo set ups?

People have boosted on stock blocks all day with no problems. The thing is, what is your power goal? What is your budget? Have you done research on where you can get parts, get your car tuned, etc.
Then you can speak of boosting reliable. Since most of the time, reliability comes from the tune.
Do work.

Yeah. I'm sure that there are some people out there boosting on stock blocks with no problems. However, a majority of people are boosting with a LOT of problems.
Just because one guy who knew what he was doing has good luck with a boosted setup doesn't mean that everyone else will. Claiming that a boosted setup will have no issues is just a blatant lie. There will be issues. The extent of the issues will vary.
If the person knows what they're doing, the issues may not be big or may be cured fast. However, the OP sounds pretty uninititated. I think boosting it would be a bad idea in that case.
OP...the car should have made 145whp stock. How about either removing some of the mods or getting them properly tuned? If you had a ported and polished head, get some more agressive cams.
The B16A in street trim in a coupe is never really going to be fast NA.
Buy a larger engine. B18C1s make their power in a somewhat boring fashion, but they are a lot faster than B16As in the same car. Full B18C SIR-G swaps are cheap now a days. try www.n1concepts.com.
Or buy the ITR swap. They're a TON of fun to drive.
The advantage to OEM swaps is that it's very reliable and you don't usually have to deal with assembly related B.S.
My suggestion is to just buy a larger engine if you really want some more power. Sell your B16A to recover some of the money.
Or tune your current setup for some respectable numbers...buy the right equipment. It seems like your setup was just slapped together without thinking about anything.
Either way, don't boost it.

Well my set up is an AEM V2, hondata im gasket, skunk pro 2 cam gears, 99 gsr cams, spoon high comp headgasket, megan racing 4-1 header, apexi ws2 exhaust, port, polish, valve job, and tuned at HP Performance in jacksonville fl on a dynojet. All of the work was done at Speedfab in jacksonville fl. it was also over 100 degrees outside. and i have never heard of a stock b16a putting down 140hp at the wheels, most stock put about 125 to 130. i do have a dc sports 4-2-1 header in my garage, i took it off because i thought that it would hurt the top end power, but now im thinking about putting it back on.
i was thinking if i was going to put a 1.8 block in it i should get a gsr block, high comp pistons 12.5:1 and h beam rods, skunk2 stage2 cams, 440cc injectors and tune it on hondata s300. but after all of that i think i could get a decent turbo package started. sorry about rambling on, just trying to put down my thoughts. btw thanks to the people who responded.

I have a 2000 EX Coupe (close to the SI weight wise). I am running an LS/VTEC with SI trans and CTR pistons (misc. bolt-ons) and a 50 wet shot. I planned on boosting it but didn't realize how high my compression is.
I spin first and second without spraying and spray in third and fourth, the car pulls pretty nicely- not the fastest car on the street by any means but extremely fun to drive and will walk S2000's and suprise most people.
If I could do it again I would have left the stock LS pistons and boosted it...

if you got that gsr block and have time put it in with the head and the tranny. it will be faster by a bit but getting some upgraded cams and a chipped ecu and a tune that **** will be satisfied ill say. for now. no boosted not a boost fan, seems like alot of hassel to come if you do it.
