1999 honda civic ex wing?
hey guys i am pickin up a unpainted 1996-2000 honda civic wing and i was wondering if my car a 1999 honda civic ex is prewired for the wing and just didnt come with the wing? and if not how would i run power to the brake light?
also does any1 kno where i wuld drill holes to hold down the wing? and what about a hole for the wiring to be put in the trunk is that a seperate hole that needs to be drilled or not?

Its gonna be a pain in the *** (kinda) to get the holes perfectly straight and centered. I would recommend getting your wing, positioning the wing where you want, and putting some marking material or clay on the contact points so a mark if left on the trunk lid.
as far as the power, you could splice into one of the other brake lights wires?? (anyone have any idea about this)
Hope that helps with the install.

im actually not even doen it my dad owns a mechanic and body shop and thought some of the info would be helpful to him and i also was thinking about splicing into the brake light .. does any1 kno if this is the right way to do it?

so your saying that i can unplug the 3rd light that i have now which is on the rear window and just take that plug ang plug the new wing into that one? therefore eliminating the original 3rd brake light witht he car and having the wing replace the original 3rd brake light?

Yes. That is the stock setup. The link in the thread I linked you to is the install directions from Honda.
The law is that any vehicle 1986 or after needs one center high mount brake light.
