i'm not sure exactly what you're talkin about. you take the cap off, remove the axle nut and the whole hub assembly n bearing all comes out. it almost sounds like your inner bearing race is stuck on the axle. in that case you'll have to try n pull it off with either a hub puller, or some heat. in extreme cases i've had to cut slots in the race and hit it with a punch or air hammer and the race cracks and slides off. good luck

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!!!! you mean the inner bearing race is stuck on the spindle!!! take a chisel and right on the backside where the race is stuck tap it between the two and it will break it loose.... happened to me on almost EVERY rear bearing ive changed on a honda!!!

I cant get this inner race off. I have tried using a Propane torch and a chisel and this thing aint budging. Is a propane torch hot enough? How long should I heat the race for?

Um, the rear wheel bearings are unit wheel bearings, and cannot be disassembled. The front ones one the other hand, are press in fit.
Steps to remove front wheel bearing race that sticks to the hub.
Step 1: Put it in a vise
Step 2: Heat the race portion until it is orange colored.
Step 3: Take a chisel/railroad tie and hammer downward between the race and hub.
Step 4: Once a clearance exists, reheat the race and tap on it evenly around in a lateral fashion.
Step 5: Let the unit air cool
Step 6: Use emery paper to smooth any rough spots/rust, and lightly oil for install.
I do this on average .5 times a day. Except I have an impact hammer.

Question guys, I just bought 99 ex front knuckles. The front wheel bearing hub seems pretty rusted. How would I know if it needs replacing or not prior to installing it on the car? how would I know i need to replace the wheel bearing? is it worth changing them since, I already have the whole assembly out?
