1999 Civic Ex Replace trail arm bushings?
I was quoted between $475-$600 to have them replaced (Driver and passenger rear trail arm bushings). They cost about $60 each at the dealer. Is this a hard job to complete myself? Anyone have any experience replacing them? Gotta get it done to pass safety inspection on my car. I've put some pictures below of them.

I'm in the wrong buisness. That's hella profit per time spent!
You neet the Matco MST6510 to extract them. It allows an on-car removal/installation of this bushing. It sells for $200...we'll say $220 shipped. It sounds like you went to your local dealer at $60 per bushing. slhondaparts.com has them for $28. You need two...and we'll say $20 for shipping again = $76.
This tool also allows you to do the removal and installation of the bushing with the trailing arm ON THE CAR. We're talking 1/2 hour per side, so hour total.
So for $296 and an hour of your time, you come out waaaay ahead of the game. You can even turn around and resell the tool for an even smaller out of pocket expense.
And here's a write up to show how easy it is.

they bind
they dont allow proper movement
they can slide on the pin
(it really has been covered)
Theres actually a user that rents the tool to remove these bushings. I cant remember his name, rate, or anything else...i just know there is someone
You should replace with oem/mugen type bushings.
Wouldnt take long, with the proper tool (its similar to a jaw/gear puller)
