Default 1999 Civic DX lights flickering

I have a 1999 civic DX with 230k. About 1 month ago I had my negative battery terminal melt and the negative cable also burnt really bad lol. So I replaced the battery and cable. Well about 1 week ago I noticed all my lights flickering. Every light in the car, headlights, dome lights, radio, AC controls and cluster lights. The car will also almost stall when in gear and at a light. I did some research and have checked the ground (battery ground) and it was good. I have checked fuse 15 under the hood and it is good. I am out ideas. I have not had the alternator tested yet but I do not think it is that. Is there any other grounds I can check? Any ideas?!? lol I am so tired of messing with it. Thanks

test the alternator just to eliminate that as a problem. find the reason why the ground wire melted and then go from there.

Negative ground wire melted because previous owner had an amp, the amp line was hot and the fuse box cover came off. It was laying across the engine mount therefore creating a short. That problem has been fixed. The alternator will be tested tomorrow. Thanks

Don't forget to check the body to tranny ground and the one on the valve cover as well.

My car seems to be doing the same thing and from what i have seen in other threads the alternator seems to be the issue. Mine really does it mostly when i have the HVAC on but seems to go away after a minute or so. Very strange.

Had this problem when i replaced my alternator. loose ground wire is what caused it for me.
