Default 1999 civic b16a help

Well it all started the other night when my car has always sucked up water, so i cut the intake tube and put the filter further up because i had a cold air intake and didnt have the fender linings...so the the next day (yesterday) me and my girl were about to go get something to eat in town...so i started the car, it was running fine...i stopped at the store right down the road from my house to cash a check....was idling fine...left, went down the road about 2 miles when it started to feel like it was running out of gas, but it wasnt.i pulled over popped the hood to check things out...nothing noticeable..so i started it again, and it sounds like the pistons are literally scratching the walls of the cylinder....that or the rod bearings...im not too sure which it could be but it started overheating when i tried starting it again. and the only way it stays running is when im on the gas...and even then it wont stay running..the car is a 1999 civic ex.. it has a jdm 1st gen b16a block with a 99 si head...it has the p2t si computer and since i dont have a knock sensor and its obd2 it has always ran like ****. but now it wont run...im set on either of the things i said above...or maybe i dropped a valve? im not too sure...does anyone else know what this might be? thanks in advance.
