1998 Civic LX Sedan Speed Sensor fuse keeps popping?
Hello Everyone!
Trying to figure a problem with my speed sensor fuse that keeps popping. I tried replacing speed sensor on the transmission, with two different ones, still would not solve the issue of the fuse popping. Then I even swapped out a new speedo, but the fuse still goes bad. I am thinking there is a short somewhere. I did notice when the fuse would go bad, that the cd player on my car would act like the power is off to it and would blink differnt things on it's screen. I checked the wiring harness by the radio, nothing touch there. Very frustrating with electrical stuff. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Check the harness under the intake manifold, passenger side, for evidence that the harness has rubbed on a bracket in that area and shorted out a wire.
There was actually a TSB for this for 96-98 Civic's

inspect the sec o2 sensor wiring for any fraying , had this issue not to long ago, when i would power shift my motor moves enough to touch the frayed wires to the chassis and pop the fuse.. trust me inspect o2 wiring..
try this disconnect the o2 from inside the car if it still pops then its in the harness. if not then you found your issue
the reason that **** happenswith the cd player is cuz your alt is protected by the same fuse. when that fuse pops your car is getting power from the battery not the alt...
