1998 civic lx with ignition short
So i have been have a hell of a time tryin to track down a short, i ve narrowed it down to the IGN1 circuit i believe but have not been able to track down exactly what is shorting, car runs n idles but cel stays on for o2 sensor and when its put under load it bogs out around 3-4,000 rpms, this is really kicken my *** n would really like to find a solution to this so i can drive my car again haha any help would be greatly appreciated if anybody has experienced this issue.
just a few things about the car it was a automatic and i connverted it to 5 speed and was runnin a b series swap in it had no issue till i pulled motor and swapped a replacement one thing i did notice though is i had quite a bit of distortion in the radio while the vehicle was running but not when ignition was switched to the accs position.

Re: 1998 civic lx with ignition short
First thing to check when someone says "it starts and idles, but drives like crap and won't rev over 3000"-- is the cam timing.
Seemingly unrelated electrical parts interacting (radio and ignition for example) usually result from a bad ground somewhere.
If CEL is on for any reason the ECU runs limp mode, meaning there is a rev limiter at about 4500.
Exactly which code? O2 heater codes will be thrown if there is no power to the heater circuit (fuse 15 related).

Timing is on point issue i am having is a short its pullin 10 volts of power while jumpin the batt. Terminal to the post when i remove the 40a IG1 fuse it drops down to zero so %100 there is a short somewhere i just cant find it
