I have a 98 civic lx. The lights dim and the heater fan motor slows and speeds up on its own. It does this non stop at night or day in rain or nice weather. It doesn't matter if I'm in stop and go traffic or going 80 on the freeway. At night it looks like I'm going from high to low beam (headlamps) every 5 seconds. I installed a new battery, but it does the same thing. Any input is appreciated.

You can get it check out at any garage and test if your charging system is working properly.

my car is bone stock other than a 100.00 cd player i put in. It has 85000 orig. miles. I bought it off an old lady. I know I can get the charging system checked out. I was trying to do it myself. Any tips?
