pull the plastic timing belt cover off the top (which is a pain)
and see if the belt is cracked by the teeth (under the belt) and see if there is slack.
cracks or slack replace it. rule of thumb will all timing belt cars is 100k change out. which no1 ever does.
sum companies say 70-80k etc to cover you.
jus put a 100 shot on it youl be fine

i've seen timing belts break and look pretty good except where they broke, I've also seen one that didn't break that was cracked so bad no one could figure out why it hadn't broken. If its the original belt replace it. IIRC the manual says every 100,000, or every 6 years, whichever comes first.
