1998 b18b1 in 1997 civic ex coupe BAR REFF help
i finnally decided to get my car BAR'D
i have a 1997 civic EX coupe
i swaped in a 1998 integra b18b1 longblock alonge with a JDM b16 hydro tranny.
swap is very clean, with no CEL using the original ECU that came with the longblock ive purchased with less tahn 67k's miles.
here's my concerns...
*vtec pressure switch/ vtec solenoid valve are hanging around...
*knock sensor plug is hanging around...
*IAT is relocated to the intake manifold, which i had to rewire (obd-2 civic's are on the arm)
*Crank CKF is re-wired from 3 plug to a 2 plug (ls CKF is two plug, and civic's CKF is 3 plug)
*No PS/AC
*Shortgear Ration b16 tranny, would be a bad idea?
im using the evap purge (from top of the ls manifold) and the evap box from the integra motor enstead of the original big civic ex one.
NO CEL, running both o2's, timing is done along with new plugs/cap/rotor
would i be ok to take my car to the reff station to get it bar?
has anyone done this swap? prefer 96+ ex coupes with BAR'D 96+ LS engines
please let me know, im planing on BAR'ing my car and need help

I never understand why people make these posts. Always asking "do you think".. If you have any experience with the REF or have bothered to search topics regarding it, you will see they are all differnet. What one passes, the other might bitch about. The best thing to do is to take it to the ref, get a list of complaints (if any) and then fix the problems. Pass the second time, move on. He's not going to take your car from you should you fail visual the first round. Just go, see where you stand, then come and ask for help.

Since these sensors are no longer used, the ref should have no comments about this. It MIGHT be an issue, it might not. Again, depends on the ref you are seeing. Worse case, cut the plugs, use some heat shrink on the ends of the wires and hide them in the harness.
