Hey there, installing a headunit on my 1997 EK sedan and i have it all going along well just i can't seem to get the dash lights working, after wiring it all up i have two wires left over one if a red/black wire that i guess is the illumination wire? when i tough that wire to a 12v source my interior lights stay on if the car is in ACC or higher how do i get it so they are only on when the headlights are on? Also i am not using a plug and play connector as i couldn't get one in my country i have been following this wiring guide

The other wire is a yellow/black wire if that helps at all any advice would be greatly appreciated

You're going from headunit install to keeping your interior lights on only when your headlights come on. What is it you are trying to accomplish? What do you mean by interior lights?

by interior lights i mean the ones for the dash, heater controls, hazard light etc i cant seem to get those to work due to ths red/black wire
