1997 Honda Del Sol Si D16Y8 Headers Back Swap Information Needed
Looking to keep this short and sweet.
I own a 1997 Honda Del Sol Si D16Y8 Automatic
Recently decided to swap header back, bought the items listed below;
SRS Full T-304 Stainless Steel CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM 93-97 Honda Del Sol 94 95
MagnaFlow® - Direct Fit Pre-OBDII Catalytic Converter
Spec-D® - Exhaust Header
Taking a look at the header link after purchase, I've been given the information that these are for the manual model only, though, being optimistic, decided to give them a try anyways. They bolted right on, but after attempting to bolt to the catalytic converter (and rest of the exhaust) there is a 2.5" - 3" gap between the pipes. After comparing to the stock system, I am certain the header downpipe is short. I understand this is because they are made for the manual model, but is someone able to give me the blunt as to why they are shorter? Does the manual model have a bigger catalytic converter?
At this point, I am looking at purchasing new header and a downpipe, but I'm worried I may end up in the same situation due to minimal information on most listings. After hours of searching, I've found one thread suggesting the following for a D16Y8 Del Sol (unsure of the automatic part);
Honda Civic 1988-2000 SOHC & VTEC Megan Racing Race Manifold Header & Downpipe
After looking into it (as much as I possibly can), they appear as if they will fit, but I am looking if anyone could confirm this before I'm stuck with another RMA. Any and all information is extremely helpful, I am doing everything in my power to figure this out, but there seems to be a lacking of direct information out there!
(I'll edit and add information as needed, it's late here, my mind is foggy!)

Header. Header. Say it with me now, HEADER. Singular. No S. You only have one exhaust bank, and thus, only one header. It's short because you bought some generic eBay ****. It doesn't matter if it's autotragic or standard, they both have the same exhaust. Stop looking at eBay ****, and start looking at a decent exhaust, and you won't have this problem.
