1997 CX not starting
1997 CX 5 speed D16Y7. All stock.
Drove it to work just fine, leaving after my shift and it wont start. It does not turn over at all. It is getting power and even had a friend try to jump it. Fuel pump is engaging, but when I turn the key, nothing. Similar to if you try to start it without the clutch being pressed in. Doesnt click or make any other noise. It will start only by popping the clutch. Any help is appreciated

This to me sounds like the starter is bad. You should check the electrical connections. I think most of the auto parts stores can test starters for you also for free. It's not that hard to remove and replace only 2 bolts or so.

Check fuel pressure by loosening the banjo bolt at the top of the fuel filter.
Check starter by wiring it directly to the battery. Get battery tested to ensure cranking amps are in spec.
Possibly the main relay:

Re: 1997 CX not starting
There is a switch at the top of the clutch pedal arm that keeps the starter from working unless the driver presses the clutch all the way down (so the car is less likely to move by accident if it is in gear). The plastic pad that presses the switch button is prone to break and cause this problem. This is a really common problem.

Oh yea it could also be the that little switch behind the clutch pedal. It's like a little rubber stopper that seems to fall apart after a given amount of time. You can actually replace this little rubber plug with a standard size zip tie Done this many many times.
