Default 1997 civic hatch climate control problems

Hey everyone, the buttons on the climate control do not work anymore. They are the buttons that control which vents the air comes our of. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem. I've checked all the fuses in under the dash and all the fuses under the hood but non of them are blown. I was thinking it might be a relay or something. Does anyone know what might be the problem. I've also changed climate controls and it still didnt fix it so its definetly something with the car.

To add to the story, the car was stolen and they ripped out the radio bezel to get the old radio out. I dont think any of the wires were screwed up because the connections still look like there in good condition. I was wondering how many big black relays everyone has under their dash, I have one relay. The thieves might have tooken one of them out, but im not sure.

are the connectors plugged into the panel? also check if any of the connectors are unplugged in the area behind the heater control panel.

I'm having this same problem with my 1998 civic hatch. How did you resolved this problem? Thanks.

Never figured it out, but since winter is coming I better start trouble shooting again before I crash my car due to foggy windows....
