1997 Civic Ex 2dr vs. 97 Integra GSR 4-door
I was wondering what kinds of mods I would have to do to be able to take on a 97 gsr 4-door.
It weighs about 3000 with the driver, and my car weighs about 2650 with me in it.
What mods should I do, how much would they cost, and how hard are they to do??
Also, I can't do an engine swap, FI or nos.

You could try intake, exhaust, sticky tires and lots of practice launching, but you still probabyl won't get there. You'd need around 150HP and basic bolt-ons aren't going to get you there.

What other stuf should i get?? Cam, cam gear??
I am willing to spend the money, I just can't get a new engine, use the bottle or go FI. There has got to be a way to get to 150 hp all motor.

I/H/E will still net you a 15.9+ depending how good you drive. A stock GS-R will run 15.6 all day.. you need alot more help than just bolt-ons, perhaps a cam and cam gear tuned on a dyno, mild head work. Or you could just spend $500 on a 50-shot and run low 15's

I am not so much about murdering him in the quarter mile, I just want to prove to him that civics can be fast too.
He is a typical rich kid, his parents buy everything for him (gas insurance parts labor etc) and I have to pay for all of that. So I just want to be the underdog and at least give him a run for his money.
I am thinking I/H/E cam & cam gear for now.
But eventually I will probably get some stuff to save weight as well as some high CR heads. I hope I can find all of the money for this by summer-time.

That's exactly what I was thinking $500, get a Zex Kit and smoke his ***. I/H/E and a Cam will only get u high 15s if you're lucky, so I suggest getting all of that and then some. Bore out your TB, get some Drag Radials for the front and try to save as much weight as you can and you'll give him a run....if he's stock.

What kind of goodies do you have on your D16Z6, b/c that is the motor I have, and if you are running 15.4's that should be good enough to at least scare the hell outta him, b/c he would heate being beaten by me and my civic.
Unfortunatley, nitrous is not an option at this point, but I do have aroun $1300 to spend, and I want to go fast, no body kits or spoilers here.
What do you think is the best way to spend y $1300 and remember "all throttle, no bottle"
Thanks!!

The only all motor option for you with your SOHC motor is a full rebuild with high compression and lightweight components. Since you won't go NOS or Turbo or swap.
Your lil motor can't hang and needs the higher compression to kick his butt. Bolt-ons only take you so far. Save your money and wax him another day, when your parents let you tinker with the car.......
