Default 1996 integra type R suspension on a 1996 civic ex with dx suspension?

I have integra type R suspension 114.3 and I went to put it on my 1996 honda civic ex with the dx suspension. I was told this would bolt on but it does not. The arm is touching the springs and the axle does not fit correctly. I am wondering if there is any way of making this fit onto my car.

I'm sure you could have someone modify/fabricate it to work. If it were me I would get oem spec parts.

Your car has 32mm axles.

I know. I was told everything would fir but when we put everything together it obviously did not. The parts we put on from the integra are 36mm axles so I'm trying to figure out any way of fitting everything on.

The parts I got came from a 4 lug 114.3 integra type R. They came 5 lug in the united states, but mine came from canada which when they were first made they were 4 lug. Once the type R's came to the states, they were all 5 lugs.

I don't see a 4 in the first line and wasn't aware the 96 model year was the only 4 lug lol.

Is there anyway I can have a 32mm inside to the trans and a 36mm axle end to the brakes? My other problem is the arm is hitting the springs so thats what I'm trying to figure out next.

96's are the only itr's that had 4x114.3.

I looked into that same option to run 36mm with a d series. I don't think it's possible from what I read. so you have 36mm 5 lug hubs then?

So can I get a suspension from an ITR 114.3 and have that bolt onto the 32mm axles I have on my car?

Apparently the 4x114.3 hub is 32mm so I'm not sure what's going on.

I think the ITR is 32mm and the difference between that and the type R integra suspension is that those are 36mm axles. If I ordered the 114.3 ITR CTR EK9 DC2 suspension instead, then it would have fit since those are 32mm

An older Accord or Prelude maybe? No idea what the axle size is though.

Except the 96 ITR had 4x114.3 4 lug 32mm axles.

Do you have 4 studs on each hub?

re use your stock axles with the 4x114.3 hubs.
only jdm itr/ctr had 36mm hubs.

I believe so. I have 4*100 lug pattern right now from a civic dx model so all the suspension is smaller than the ex model

Yes, your stock DX has 4x100. 4 studs on the hub.

Your ITR wheel hub should also have 4 studs on the hub. If it has 5, you don't have a 96 ITR wheel hub.

Post a pic of your front wheel hub.

I dunno why you're having issues with it fitting. everything should bolt up and you should be able to re use your current axles.

My axles are 32mm and the axles that fit into the new suspension are 36mm. And like I said before, it hit the springs when bolted up.

ok I get that you have 32mm axles and the knuckle hits spring, but 4x114.3 hubs ARE NOT 36mm. have you tried to put the axles from your civic in the hub of the 4x114.3 spindles?
