1996 Honda Civic Ex Stock Engine Overheating
I just had a brand new water pump, and head gasket put on my car, and it still over heats I removed the thermostat weeks ago. My thought is it has to be the radiator. It seems like the previous owners put some sort of quick fixer in the radiator. So my question is there anything else I should check while doing my radiator? The fan turns on every time. Could it be the radiator or the heater core clogged?
thanks for any input

Re: 1996 Honda Civic Ex Stock Engine Overheating
I had an overheat issue with my hx.... never dripped or smoked but overheated 2x and had to have head remilled
If you take radiator cap off, look at the lip the radiator cap seals on, mine had a knick and it would slowly blow extra water out into overflow, then overflow tank would overflow and run down to ground without smoking. Next thing you know overheated and stranded.
Hope this helps, if not good luck
