1996 EX Coupe Horrific Window Issues...
I have a 1996 Honda Civic EX that was originally automatic. When I got the car the passenger side window would not go up but it goes does down go down BUT only from the passenger side switch. Also the lock would not work on the passenger side however, the tweeter and the speaker worked.
This being said I could not figure out what was going on so i decided to go overboard and pull an entire cabin harness with all of the relays and fuse box from a 1996 manual ex. Since swapping harnesses all speaks and locks work however I am still having the same problem with the window. It works only going down form the passenger side and nothing at all from the driver's side.
I don't know what to do next I have tried a different passenger side switch, tested the motor, bought a new motor, changed the whole cabin harness/relay/fuse box I don't know what to do! I don't want to put the interior back together until I figure this out Please help!!!

Not to sound ignorant but how could the window regulator possibly be the culprit when i stated that i have even changed motors and got the same problem i have taken the regulator and motor completely out of the door and tested and no go.

I went out before work and took off the fender and lone behold the harness that i just put in has busted wires on the connector into the drivers side door! checked the old harness and the same thing!!! I am so peeved i checked all over the passenger side but not the drivers side, havent had a chance to try fixing it yet but i will post up pics once i wire it all back together may just ditch the connector all together and hard wire it all together that harness is not coming back out of the car!!

As for the pass window not coming back up...in my 98 ex coupe it was a bad pass switch. Swapped it with an OEM one purchased from eBay and it works like a charm! Also, u might wanna shoot some type of lubricant on those window tracks...makes a difference.

Alright, as I said here are the pics of the procedure, and for the record i am an idiot that dident check the harness properly!
Here is what I found with the SWAPPED harness that i pulled from the junkyard....
Went ahead and took a picture of the OLD harness, in even worse shape....
At this point I said F the plug and i was just going to completly connect the harness together. One the flip side the car was not having it, the stock door harness was so brittle that every i tried to splice the wires it would literatlle just crumble SO luckily i pulled another door harness at the junk yard when i got the cabin harness!
Dog was up my butt the whole time lol she literatelly sat on that seat the whole time, she loves me
Here is the harness after MUCH effort lol
Final product that will live behind the fender, At this point I am cloud 9 because all of the locks windows and speakers work!
Front shot of the 99-00 conversion and B20 poking through
So much left to do but glad that the problem has been found! Leave no spot unchecked is what has been learned thank you everyone for the help!!!

Yea junkyards are hit or miss and need to be thoroughly inspected. GJ on the fix, and no I don't see a b20 poking out. I see a powersteering pump.

The messed up thing is that the car that I pulled the harness from in the junk yard I actually owned at one point! I about flipped when I saw it lol that's why I assumed the harness was good because I never had a problem with it!
