1996 EX brakes
Did the 1996 EX come equipped with rear drums or discs from the factory? I have an EX that has rear drums and someone on another forum said they were originally disc brakes, said to check the VIN, which I did, and it comes up as an EX...

In canada they did. But then again in canada the civic ex is called si, and the si is called sir.
So canadian civic ex= all wheel disc/abs
Usdm civic ex= front discs no abs

yeah ur car is supposed to have rear drums.
some good info, but MY 1998 USDM Civic EX has ABS!
