Icon4 1996 DX Cluster issue need help!!

I have a 1996 DX, I had a problem that was fixed which was a main relay going bad, bought a new one to replace it and come to find out it was also bad and ever since that new "bad relay" the cluster went all out of wack!
before it worked perfectly fine, but now nothing works but the back lighting, turn signals and the highbeam indicator, has anyone dealt with this problem? I have tried another cluster and same problem, I have checked all the fuses and there are none that are blown, before this everything was fine and the only thing that was touched was the Dizzy which I checked the cables are all installed correctly and now the car idles funny it comes and goes. please help!

Sounds like a wiring issue maybe the rubber coating has worn off on some of the wires

hit the hazard button, does it work?

edit: if any electrical wiring were hacked/modified I'd suggest looking over those again. Also download the FSM to locate the plug that connects the dash harness to the fusebox and see if anything is severed.

Electrical problems aren't a common 'hey this part went bad just replace it' kind of thing and requires you to have a multimeter to check for voltage and a continuity.

yes hazards work as well, everything was working completely fine until a bad main relay, also have a extra cluster to test and still the same thing, all i know is that I picked up this car coiple months ago as a project, it was automatic and swapped over to a d16y8 engine with a auto manifold still

Check cluster ground behind the cluster. Get a schematic and voltmeter and confirm that power wires at the cluster are live, and ground wires are grounded. Things like the temperature gauge and the oil light require only power ground and sensor connection. The ECU is not involved.

ecu nor main relay is involved. I'm gonna have to question the work done to convert this to a 5spd.

I have pulled the cluster there is a random yellow silver cord but it doesn't go into any of the sockets for the cluster"must be part of the automatic cluster harness", the clips and everything looks good i added pictures.
note that after we changed out the main relay this problem started to happen out of nowhere, maybe coincidence?

currently only using the two blue clips because the yellow is for the air bags which I do not have installed and green is for the automatic cluster.
