Re: 1996 Civic rear disc conversion (96coupe)
I just did my disc conversion to my hatch a couple weeks ago. Parts wise this is what I got: 97 Integra rear trailing arms and disc assembly with compensator arms, new 99-00 civic si parking brake cables from majestic honda, rotors, pads, 99-00 civic si master cylinder, and brake fluid. A lot of people demand that you get a new proportioning valve from the si as well, but I did a part number check and the 97 civic cx proportioning valve is the same as the 99 si proportioning valve so i opted not to order it up. During the pad break in I was supposed to do hard breaking from 60 mph and I went a little overboard on the breaking and locked up. The fronts locked up before the rears so I think proportioning is fine as is. Some other people like to change the brake booster and master cylinder setup over to an integra setup for a better pedal feel but right now my setup actuall feels really good and firm. Hope that helps you.
