1996 Civic EX running hot.
My civic is running hot and I wanted to know if anyone got any information as to why this is happening and what I need to do. When I look under the hood it looks as if the radiator is clog because I let the car cool and tried to pour coolant and it started to spit it back out. Any info is appreciate.

So the thermostat would cause it to spit out as well. I checked the cap and the cap seem to be fine. And where exactly is the sensor located.

the sensor is right by the thermostate. it has a gold colored bottem, with a plug(wire) connected to the other end.
its connected to the thermostat housing.
