1996 civic dx - smoke(blue) like crazy when rev
HELLO ALL
i have a 1996 civic dx 5 sp no power steering and it been sitting for a while
and my issue is when i start up the car it run fine beside a bit of smoke coming out of the tail pipe. But after 5-10 min i start driving it or rev it at idle, smoke fly out like crazy. what can be the cause of this? i was told it might just need a simply maintenance since it was sitting so long. im just hoping it not the ring
as some1 told me

rings could be siezed in the pistons depending on how many miles are on the engine you might be best to invest in a rebuild.

engine have 135xxx miles on it. i just did some research and found out that the ring can be test by doing a compression test so im give that a shot. Also found out that it could be a valve seals. is there anyway to check/test this?
was also told " rings smoke all the time and valve seals on start up only " true or false?

usually when valve seals leak its only during start up for a few seconds.try the compression test right down your numbers and then do it again on all four cylinder and drop a cap of transmission fluid down each cylinder. if the numbers change drastically then you know your rings are bad.
