thats only about 28k-29k a year. it really depends on how it was maintained and how it runs. you don't plan on keeping that motor anyway, do you? in my area i think that is a decent price, especially if its the out the door price. try these places to get retail. http://www.kbb.com http://www.edmunds.com http://www.nada.com

Not many miles or not, average is 12k a year. That still sounds like an alright price, but don't take the asking price just because you're going to swap (if you are). That doesn't make any sense. A car's worth what it's worth .. or whatever you are willing to pay for it

I pay that for it. Now get yourself a swap, and you got a quick $10k car!
Is it a manual? If not, then no, I wouldn't buy it.

bah! I still say your paying too much...in my area we have several 97civic hbs for 5500 w/ under 70k miles.

Too much! Just wait and you will find one for like maybe 3 or 3.5 Grand. I bought a 93 dx for 2 G's. Sometimes I think that was too much. hehehe...but it is quick now, after a b16a sir2 swap. But hey! If you wanna spend that much and can't wait, then spend and regret later....It's up to you!

even if you plan on replacing the 143K engine with a newer/faster one , why pay the offering price when you can get it for $700-1000 less with research and a good argument.
