NOFX how hard is it to convert a 99-00 front to 96-98? Besides the 96-98 parts are there modifications involved? Once I find a 98 lip I would like to convert my 99 front. Thanks.

The front end conversion should be basically the same as the more popular '96-'98 --> '99-'00 conversion. I've never seen a DIY from '99-'00 to '96-'98 though.
Check out the links at the bottom of the first post.

NOFX, if I have a 96 parts car....what is needed to replace a 99 hatch door with a 96 hatch door (which comes with wiper and hatch release?). Thanks and bump for a good writeup.

Does anyone have a pic for me to see what their 99-00 harness looks like on the taillight part of the trunk lid on the coupes ?
I just installed 2 days ago my new 99-00 oem taillights on my 97 civic and noticed that the ricer before me who had the car had just 1 harness with 1 socket for the ricer altezzas and he ditched the stockers and i would like to see what they look like.
Thanks.

They're just shaped differently. The coupe/sedan rear bumper has smoother sides and the hatch has a giant indent along the side.
Look at this thread for pics.

Are you talking about '96-'98 coupe/sedan rear mudflaps versus '96-'98 hatch rear mudflaps?

Here in the US none of them have the bumper moldings.
Meanwhile, in Japan, IIRC they all have them besides trims like the Type R. It'd be a lot of work to find out what all the differences are for every market these cars were available in.
The differences posted don't hold true for all countries. Some countries never updated taillights on sedans and some never updated the climate control, for example.
