My starter works. My battery works. I CANT jump start it. But it does not make any sound when I turn the key. The lights work. It is NOT a battery problem.

It is somewhere between the ignition and the starter. Somebody said it might be an ignition relay or a starter relay. Is that true? & where is it at? Thanks so much in advance!!!

is it a manual or automatic, both have start sensors that must be on for the ignition to start. the sensor in a manual is on the clutch pedal. the automatics must be in Neutral or Park. there is also another part on the ignition that commonly goes bad. it is the 5 wire signal cylinder on the opposite where the key is in the ignition.

if it is a manual check pic below to reference the clutch pedal sensor. it is the sensor on the top of the clutch that is yellow on this particular picture. the sensor can be jumpered of to TRICK the computer in starting.




the automatic has a sensor that measures neutral and park only. the sensor is the orange wires pictured below. if the sensor is faulty and does not measure neutral or park, the car will not start. you can jump the plug and test it first.



the main relay may also be a factor. it may be black, grey, or red. it is located behind your fuse box under the drivers side.



last is the ignition module. the commonly go bad.
