1995 Honda Civic CX Hatch Bucking Problems at Very Little Throttle
Hey everyone.
I have a 1995 Honda Civic CX hatch that I just swapped a 98 spec JDM B18C type R into. I'm running the factory ITR wiring harness that came with the motor, a factory P73 ECU, and a Rywire jumper harness.
I'm not sure how to perfectly explain my problem, but I'll try my best, and I'm posting a video as well.
When I'm on the gas ever so little at low RPMs, the car uncontrollably 'bucks', which is extremely annoying. It does it in every single gear, and even in neutral, but only when you're barely on the gas at all, at low RPMs as stated above.
I'm throwing an IACV check engine light, and the IACV seems to be shot, because when I unplugged it when the car was at an idle, the idle didn't change what-so-ever. I took the IACV off the car and also cleaned it, which didn't do anything. So, I'm pretty sure it's shot.
I also tried tampering with the idle screw, along with adjusting the throttle cable, and adjusting the tiny little screw that opens and closes the throttle.
Here's my video that I took. The video was taken with the car in neutral, but it does the same exact thing when it's in any gear. Obviously, it's way worse when it's in first gear, because it bucks on take off and I end up looking like someone who's just learning how to drive a standard.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If my video isn't working in the original post, here's a direct link to it.

Why don't you start with replacing the IACV which you know is shot. I watched your video before even reading your comment about it being in question and that was my first thought. If it is not working properly it could be allowing excessive air in or choking it down slightly at low rpm's (depending on how it has failed), either way is going to affect engine running characteristics. I take it at higher rpms when the IACV is not a factor at all the engine runs ok?

Yes, it seems to run perfectly fine at high RPMs, at least I think so.
Before I go spending money on a new IACV, where is the purge control solenoid valve located on a 98 spec ITR, does anybody know? I've heard that there have been some cases where people mixed the connectors for the IACV and purge control solenoid valve up. I want to re-check myself.
