so i bought this car with no center counsel i installed all new parts and wired in a pioneer stereo but nothings working, stereo or cig lighter. the fuse is good the hot wire has power but nothing works. the guy before me wired a sunpro tach(it works when i turn in acc) to the option E socket and im wondering if a relay or something is supposed to be there instead??? he fuked around in the fuse box and lost the map so i looked one up and installed all that were missing but i cant find anything bout option E.

Did you check the under hood fuses?

yes all my fuses are good but theres an option E socket thats linked to the fuse for the radio and idk if there is supposed to be a relay there

IDK what you keep talking about when you refer to this Option E socket. I don't have the fusebox memorized nor do I want to search for it. The socket for a relay looks NOTHING like the socket for a fuse.

And how did you check the fuses? IDK how many times people come in here and claim they checked all the fuses and it turns out to be a blown fuse.

ok well it dont look like a fuse socket and everything i see online says they are linked but nothing says if something is supposed to go there or not so idk.the tach i have is wired to tha socket ad it turns on when i turn the key.

and i actually took each individual fuse out and inspected them. and the power wire has power cuz when i accidently touched some metal in the dash with it it sparked and blew the fuse. i did replace the fuse after this.

By pulling it out, looking at it, saying "yupp, looks good", and putting it back. Instead of doing it the proper way.

Test them. Don't just look at them.

Hey I have the same car and currently trying to solve this problem. I was driving one day n I stopped at a gas station then I realized my stereo was not turning on, later I also discovered that the cigarette lighter was not working as well. I have checked all the fuses under the hood and below the steering wheel like five times already, I also got a new main relay and changed the computer if that's related at all(had another problem). When I first noticed that my car stereo was not working I did find the stereo fuse blown so I changed it but nothing happened. I tested my stereo in a friends car in case it was not working but it did turn on, so I was wondering what the f*** is wrong??? I'm planning to strip the dashboard apart and trace the power and ground cables, maybe I find something loose so if you found a solution it would really help a lot
