What up yall? I'm swapping my d16z6 out for a jdm b16a. Has anyone else done this? if so did you have any unexpected issues or problems? The block is Gen 2 obd1 civic SiR II and the head is gen 1 obd0 civic SiR. I just tore it down and worked on it this weekend. The block was the only part with an issue, the seller claimed he couldn't "set the rings" well what the real issue was, the fella had done everything rights, but he didn't put the wipers on the 3rd (bottom) groove, just the spacers. So i fixed it, and cleaned everything, because my grandpa is a neat freak, and there for so am I. The pistons are CTR (11:5:1 compression from what i've heard), I got APR head bolts & nut set on it. I took the head apart and cleaned it. I'm planning on just running it Natural, no forced induction or NOS. When the motor is out, I'm going to replace the intake manifold (Ordered), put some lightweight pulleys, cam gears, dist, 7lb-9lbs flywheel, 4-1 race headers, and I plan on pairing it with GSR 5-speed transmission. I'm pulling out my A/C unit compressor and all that stuff.
