1995 Civic tps/electrical problem?
I ran into a problem with my civic today and haven't been able to figure out what's wrong.
I was driving on the highway going about 70 mph and my gas pedal stopped working (engine wouldn't rev up), pulled over and turned the car off/on which solved the problem for a few miles but then the same problem happened. From here on the car will turn on but then bog down and die after a 5-20 seconds. However 2 or 3 times I turned it on and the RPM would shoot up to 5k before I'd shut it off. My friend suggested that it might be a TPS issue and I've tried disconnecting the battery but nothing has changed.
I've had it towed home now so I have access to some tools.
Any help is appreciated as I need this car for work and I have a doctors appointment in 2 hours!

You can check the TPS if you have a multi-meter. Should be 3 wires, one is ground, one is 5 Volt supply the last is the output to ECM. it should be 0.5 volts throttle closed, and about 5.0 volts wide open throttle.

I checked the TPS with a multimeter and it came back with the correct readings.
No CEL showing
Pulled the ECU to reset and still bad
Tested for spark with a ignition spark tester
Still happens with a battery charger hooked up and 100amp, not the alternator
Recently bought this car, don't know how old the fuel filter and everything is but I looked at the rotor too and it looks near-new.
Edit: also no MAF on this car

I edited my post, must have been after you loaded the page. The CEL does work, shows when the key is in position II, also can hear the fuel pump.
Edit: From searching online this might be the ignition switch. Going to keep reading and try tomorrow.

Ok figured out it's probably the fuel pump going bad or the fuel filter. Added gas through the throttle body and it ran perfectly. Disconnected the top end of the fuel filter and the gas is way under pressure, just dribbles out a little bit at a time and not constant, even with the main relay jumped to have the pump run.
