1995 civic si - no start/ no crank issue - help needed
*****FIXED*****
read below :D
So my car doesn't start/crank when i go try to start it.
all that happens is the lights turn on on the cluster and radio turns on, than no sound when i try to start it. i think just a click thats it. dont think its from the starter either
im not sure of the problem. brother says my starter isnt getting power.
engine is completely stock besides a crappy intake from previous owner.
things i've done so far
- Clean the battery and terminals, even tried to jump start it
- Swap out the terminals + wires from my brothers integra. i took the terminal + wire from the negative >> ground and positive >> starter and ground to the ecu.
- Spark plugs and wires are good. has spark
- Checked fuel main relay for bad solder joints
- Checked all fuses under hood and under driver side dash
- No check engine light
- Swapped out the starter for my cousins starter from a running d-series
I know i haven't tried a lot of other stuff but its night out right now and i can't use the garage.
the only way to start the car is if i use an audio wire and put one end on the positive terminal and the other end to the ground for the starter - the prong i guess you'd call it.
any help is much appreciated!

So you taking a wire from the battery wire on the starter and jumping it to the small wire an it starts?
Sounds like a bad connection or broken wire to the starter solenoid wire(small wire on starter) or maybe a bad starter relay or clutch switch.

wooop
thanks man
it was the clutch interlock switch
the plastic piece that pushes in the button was broken so I couldn't start the car because of that.
good thing i didnt have to spend money :D
fyi for anyone that is having the same problem -- check everything before you purchase ANYTHING! i didnt buy anything.
i just use a little 10mm screw and nut to replace the plastic piece, should suffice.
