1995 civic - auto transmission wont shift

my car just started not shifting unless i let off the gas its a 1995 civic ex coupe no mods all stock anyone know what it might be?

no codes, not low, and im not sure just bought car

Definitely check this^.

And since you just bought the car, do three drain and refill cycles of the ATF, with a short drive between each cycle. Use Honda ATF.

Does the CEL work?
