its a 6gen, 7gens started in 01

its going to run a kenji conversion harness, but i need a diagram of a factoy 2001 gsr wiring just so i can see where they go in the 2001 harness then the jumper harness will take care of the rest

Just to warn, thats a federal emissions illegal swap..... you shouldnt pass visual unless you have hookups. Swapped engines need to be same year as the car or newer.

just a heads up.

Stole this from http://www.jdmhondaparts.com

First off...
This swap information applies to 96-01 civic hatchback/coupes/and sedans.

There are two types of OBD2 in the US, for the 96-01 civic's and integra's.
96-98/OBD2 and 99-01/OBD2. Both OBD2 versions are electrically the same as far as these engine components go: sensors, distributor, injectors, starter, and alternator. The only difference between 96-98 and 99-01 OBD2, is the engine harness ecu plugs and the actual ecu. You'll see what I mean when you read futher on down...

I'm only giving tips of how to swap an OBD1 or OBD2 equipped B-series engine + hydro transmission into a 96-01 civic. Swapping of a cable-type B-series engine info. is left out, because that is a rediculous thing to do (thumbs down)!!! I refer to 96+ civic's as 'EK' (coupes too, even though they're known as EJ) as that is the Japanese chassis code for this car and it's easier to reference to... why? cuz I'm lazy!

Second...
You need to find out which motor you're going to buy - B16A, B18C, TypeR, etc. It's a good idea to buy an already OBD2-specific B-series engine to make the swap, as whole, to go by easier.

Third...
If you decide to buy an OBD1-specific B-series engine for your EK, you're going to run into a several issues:

ISSUE #1: Injectors
OBD1 injectors will NOT plug into any OBD2 engine harness. You need to get a set of OBD2 B-series (vtec or non-vtec, although vtec is preferred) injectors so they will plug into an OBD2 engine harness. Or you can try and rewire your car using the OBD1 injectors that come on your engine -- have doin that!
ISSUE #2: Distributor
The OBD1 B-series distributor will NOT plug into any OBD2 engine harness, either. You need to get an 96+/OBD2 B-series distributor to make the swap easier on you. I've never tried to make an OBD1 distributor work in an OBD2 equipped car either -- not worth the time or headache! BTW, you can easily sell an OBD1 B-series distributor if not trade straight across with someone who has an OBD2 B-series distributor.
ISSUE #3: 2nd 02 sensor
OBD1-specific engines do not have a 2nd 02 sensor. You'll need to add this if you're going to use a US OBD2 ecu with your EK only. If you use a JDM OBD2 ecu, it will not look for the 2nd 02. If you plan on running an OBD2--OBD1 ecu jumper and OBD1 ecu, again, you do not have to worry about this 2nd 02 sensor.
ISSUE #4: CKP sensor (lame-*** sensor on oil pump)
This sensor is a pain in the *** for those of you who want to put an OBD1-specific B-series engine into your EK's. It's found on all US 96+/OBD2 B & D series engines only. However, It's not equipped on JDM OBD2 engines, at all. So, if you plan on running an OBD1-specific engine in your EK with a US OBD2 ecu, you need to add this sensor which is PART OF THE OIL PUMP -- yep that's right, you need to buy the whole pump with this sensor on it and put it on your OBD1-specific engine. The only real way around this annoyance is by using a JDM OBD2 B-series ecu or the usual OBD2--OBD1 ecu jumper + OBD1 ecu, since none of these items look for this CKP sensor.

yes in theroy its illeagl, but no swap has taken place....just gathering information

i appreciate all the inout, this motor is not for mea....and i know about all the other stuf, done plenty of swaps before, just never messed with obd2 ver. 2

he would be running an obd1 ecu through a kenji jumper harnes, so the crank sensor will not apply....all i needed to know is where the factory pin location would be for secondairs and the knock sensor in the obd2 ver2 harness....like.....

where in the harness for a 2000 gsr is the secondaries pinned to?

where is knock sensor

thanks
and sorry for such long post
