Default 1994 honda civic swap

im looking at buying a project 94 hatch. it has high miles but i found a few possible replacement engines/trannys. i would be having the swap proffesionally done and when i go to school in a year (for high performance auto) i plan on tuning it and adding a lot to it. does this sound like a good plan? any suggestions??

It's slow, you need more displacement. Or boost.

B16b is harder to find than a GSR, and more expensive...
