Sorry but that blue paint job is pretty terrible. You didn't properly prep the surfaces at all and it's downright sloppy. I would be ashamed to post that up but hey, it's your car.

To each their own.

If you like it, then that's all that matters. Good luck on your build!

How was it not prepped properly, I'm open to any sort of criticism as long as it has reason. I prepped as best I could, grinding down both drums and both calipers with an angle grinder with a special wire brush attachment then proceeding to a small wire brush to get into nooks and crannys and a light sand. Then cleaning with a varsol equivalent to remove grease, wax, etc. After wiping down I masked the corners and everything else and personally am very happy with the end result.

I can see the spots where you had some kind of contaminant on the drum right before you painted it. You didn't clean it thoroughly. That much is obvious. Probably oil/grease/dirt. The caliper has paint on the rubber parts and on the pads! You even got it on the damn rotors! It looks like Stevie Wonder did the painting.

Good job on the valve cover. I'm thinking of painting mine come summer time. The calipers are ehh.

As for the rotors, I couldn't see the oil/grease/dirt on the forefront. The only time I could see it was during painting and besides the rim covers that whole section anyways. As for the painting on the calipers I thought I had masked it well enough but I definitely didn't. The pads will be replaced regardless and I cleaned the rotors thoroughly afterwards.

So now your story is "it was a crappy job but no one will see it anyway"? Too late.

Love the valve cover that looks sick, might even try that, keep me posted cause im wondering how itll stand up to the heat. Halo lights look good but are def not original, I like them though. Glad you didnt paint the hood and lid black cause that's also very common but I wana see how the clear coated metal turned out, couldnt find a pic of it.

Would have just painted the calipers black but, hey what ever floats your boat.

The painted valve cover seems pointless if you don't bother to clean the engine bay first. I'd clean it up with some degreaser and it will make a huge difference.
