1993 Honda del sol 1.6L Engine - HELP! No Start, No Spark!!
I have a 1993 Honda del sol with a 1.6L engine and thought it was a good idea to pull out one of the spark plug wires while the car was running to check if the plugs were working properly. the car stalled and wouldn't turn back on. The engine cranks but won't start. I can hear the fuel pump turn on. The check engine light comes on and then turns off - same with the oil light. I thought it would be bad spark plugs or wires so bought new plugs and wires. still no spark. then I figured the no spark was due to the distributor cap or rotor, so replaced those. still no spark. my last attempt to create a spark was to buy a new distributor which includes the coil, the sensor, and the ignition control module. still nothing. i have visually checked the wires and fuses and everything appears to be okay. I opened the oil cap and saw movement so the timing belt is still good (also the rotor on the distributor rotates when the engine is cranked). Battery is also not the issue, even hooked it up to another car in case that was the reason it was not starting. please help me i am out of ideas. I have read other threads but none have had an answers that help me.

Check all fuses inside and out, and check your Ign. Coil. https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...odule-1430824/

Running or even cranking with one or more spark wires off is likely to blow the coil. To do the kill one cylinder test, disconnect the fuel injectors instead.
Your new distributor may be a dud. Take cap off and hold a grounded test wire near the coil output. Have someone crank while you watch that the rotor turns and sparks fire to the wire.
Also you could have plugged the wires in the wrong order or put the distributor on 180 degrees out of time (that is not supposed to be possible, but it is if the parts are worn enough). Either of those will cause failure to start but sparks would be present.

Im going to go get a ohm tester today, but the coil is brand new i dont understand why the coil would be bad. i checked every fuse and even tried cleaning them all but that didnt work. if its not the coil or any of the parts i replaced what else could it be?
