UPGRADES
Upgrades:
-Highly recommend getting OsideTiger fuel injectors
no more lag, no more rpms going up and down, faster uphill, designed for the d15z1 specs!
4 hole mist spray instead of the original 1 line spray
these are available for many other engines
better fuel atomization

Maintenance
Maintenance:
Capacity amounts:
engine oil: 3.5qt w/filter change
transmission oil: 1.9 qt (once it starts pouring out of the drain hole, it's full)
every 50k:
-transmission oil flush
-coolant flush
vtec solenoid replacement gaskets:
upper gasket with screen: 36172-P08-005
lower gasket with screen: 15825-P08-005
just spray the solenoids with brake cleaner, and let it completely dry before re-installing
---------------------------------
Coolant Maintenance:
proper thermostat: 19301-pza-305 (the d15z1 has different opening temp than other eg civics)
coolant temp sensor: 37870-pj7-003 (do not buy from ebay, they are from china)
coolant fan switch for radiator: 37760-p00-003 (do not buy from ebay)
temp sending sensor for your instrument cluster temp gauge (1 wire connection): 37750-ph2-014 (do not buy from ebay)
use Honda Coolant 50/50 from your nearest dealership
--------------------------
Air Intake:
air intake sensor: 37880-p05-a00
MAP sensor: 079800-4250
Oxygen Sensor:
NTK LZA-09-E1
I do not recommend buying the 24300

a hatch without rust *envy*
bringing back memories of my '92 back when I first bought it.
except you have a passenger mirror and are red to my teal. (and front corners, and duckbill, and I'm sure there are a few other mods that I can't see)

Nice rims.
My HX rims got refinished. We removed the top paint and left the aluminum alone, we painted the inserts and the back of the rim black, I think the shop put on a decent amt of clear, or maybe its poly, but that thing stay bling.

a clean, (mostly) stock Civic hatch is harder to find than most people think. Last one I had was about 10yrs ago. Like an idiot, I sold it after swapping in a D16Z6. Less than a month later, the new owner wrecked it.

Re: UPGRADES
fuel economey improved slightly! not much
the important thing is that these fuel injectors by OsideTiger change the performance of the engine by 500%. i am not kidding... i could barely make it up hills, had rpms go up and down, lag in acceleration. After installing these fuel injectors, it was like a factory engine 0miles! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
the rims are my spare set, i have no use for them

The description of improved performance would also occur if defective/bad injectors were replaced with fully functioning injectors. I had the same improvement by replacing my original injectors with new injectors (stock type, aftermarket replacement SMP brand). At the age of our cars, the injectors being replaced by ANYTHING new would be an improvement.

Also I'm slightly jealous of your VX. Though it doesn't have AC, so I'm sorry about that.

Re: UPGRADES
they have one for your engine even a 12 hole spray version for your d16z6. only pros to this, no cons at all, and very very easy to install too!
i actually do have a/c. i have to recharge it with "MAXI FRIG 12a" bcuz my system is the old R12 system.
