Default 1993 honda civic si heater core removal question

Hey fellow honda tech members! Does anyone have a good write up on how to remove the heater core? I already removed the dash, heater hoses connected to the fire wall and the bolt in the fire wall.

just stuck on removing the actual heater core assembly from the inside of the car.

Thanks for viewing and hope you can help me.

Don't forget there is a rubber shield on the metal portion of the hoses on the engine side of the firewall. If you pull that forward (towards the radiator) it will stop hampering the core itself from sliding into the cabin.

It's a slit rubber seal to stop excess water/air from entering the cabin.

What he didn't show is how he wiggled it from behind the evaporator. Be careful as you could cause a leak in your ac system.

Yes there are other things blocking you from pulling directly out of the location, like the bars and wires he showed in the video.

Problem solved! Thanks for the other two users above me who replied. The problems mentioned were things getting in my way.

If you don't have AC, it's not that bad. The dash is the most challenging part.

The AC condenser I think makes things even more challenging.

I did my heater core in a day and was the first time and so far only time I've pulled the dashboard.

Its not, really...

Once you get the hang of removing the dash its a piece of cake.

I'd advise OP to get whatever he needs done back there and button the dash back up so you won't have to go back in there again.
