Default 1993 Honda Civic Ex Overheating

Was wondering if anyone knew whats goin on. I have a 93 Civic that's overheating in stop and go traffic. As soon as I start driving again.. on the freeway the temperature will go down again. But if I'm stopped at a stop light it'll go up. I've never heard the cooling fan turn on, even after parking my car when its overheating. What needs to be replaced?

Disconnect the connector on your fan shroud. Now take two pieces of wire and run them from the +/- terminals on your battery to your fan +/- points... come back and tell us what happens and we will go from there ok?
