1993 honda civic code 6 ? help???

alright i have a 93 civic si with the d16z6 motor that i have just swaped out for a z6 with less miles and due to the fact that i blow the stock one up haha but anyways when i start my car to let it warm up its fine no check like or anything but after it seems to warm up the RPM's will drop then rise back up and the check like comes on so when i check it code 6 shows up wich would be for the coolant temperature sensor and circuit or something so my ?'s to the all beloved people of honda tech is what would cause this and how would i be able to fix it so i can get this check light gone also after im out driving say for like an hr or so the RPM's will drop as low as 500-100 RPM's and with a 5 seep car on a hill thats bad so would this temp sensor be the cause of it as well? any help will be very much thanked :):):) so thank you guys for looking and thanks for any help

The ECT sensor has a 2-wire connector and it plugs into the block and is located below and slightly forward of the distributor. It's likely bad. You can verify by measuring the resistance across the two sensor terminals when the engine is hot. It should read 200-400 Ohms.
