RCD701

Ok so I just got my first Honda on a trade yesterday. It's a 93 Del Sol w/ a D16Y7. I am unsure of the year for the motor but to my understanding the D16Y7 is an OBD2 engine and the 93 del sol is of course an OBD1 car. I am currently not getting any spark to the plugs. I know there is no spark from the coil because the guy before me installed a fancy clear distributor cap. My main concern is how can I tell the difference from an OBD2 and OBD1 distributor, because from my understanding is that this can cause a no spark complaint. I already checked the G101 ground at the thermostat housing and that is good. I haven't checked power to the coil yet. All fuses are good. Haven't had the car for 24 hrs yet and probably wont have much time to work on it til this weekend. Just curious if you Honda guys can spot something I cant as far as part compatibility from OBD1 to OBD2 cars. I'm attaching some pics so you can see the sloppy work I have to redo and the rats nest of wiring I have to sort through and repair. BTW the guy I got it from said it ran and drove fine, stopped to go in the bank and car would never restart. also if you have any wiring diagrams you guys can post that would be awesome. Thanks for any insight you guys may have for me. Try not to rag too hard on the engine bay, the guy before me was more focused on spray paint than mechanical reliability lol

step 1 is going to your local junkyard and getting a new plug, that is a hackjob. a distributor from a d15b7 fits that engine, and plugs into your obd1 harness.
