Icon2 1993 del sol si, current setup, what upgrades to do?

Hi, just got a good deal on a 5-speed del sol si with some body damage. isnt too bad, and i want to learn body work anyways.

currently, car has aftermarket:
-cold air intake
-exhaust pipe

Two things i a wondering about off the bat. the cold air is one pipe with a 45 angle. should i take out that box in the front right and fabricate it to go down there like the iceman intakes do? basically, would there be a gain.
Also, my exhaust pipe is not cat back, with the only upgrade being cold air, would it make sense to add a cat back muffler?

for the next upgrade i was thinking Headers. Is 4-2-1 the best kind to get for just cruising around town?

one more thing, (yeah i know im filled with questions, this is my first personal performance car, although i have done lots of upgrades on friends cars.) so my buddy has a (dead) eclipse mid ninety's can remember year, and he has blow off valves on her. from my internet searches, i have found that they look universal, so could i put these on my del sol?

1- not a cold air. thats a SRI(short ram). uhh itd make it a cold air...or ram cold air near it at least. so yes but pry more top end.

2- yes. itd be cat back exhaust. especially if your gonna upgrade more later.

3-header. no S not headers. you only get one. its a personal preference more for performance then just to cruise around town with.

4- like intake/exhaust engine valves? why? specially from a blown motor.

1 - yeaaaaa... ram intake, thats what i ment to say! its an injen brand, can i make that cold air with simple 45', straight tube, and 45' tube + misc fittings? looks like it might be tricky getting the metal tube over to the hole, its about 3 inches away at the end.

2 - sweet.

3 - okay, sorry i am not familiar with the different types of headers available. 4-2-1 looks like the most common. my only real goal is to get acquainted with auto work more than the minor maintenance i have done. and have a sick car in the end, of course.

4 - never mind, guess i need a turbo first lol

his motor isn't blow he just doesn't want to fix it. actually, he said its a relatively easy fix.

you can just buy cold air tubing. ebay it its just pipe.

as for the header get 421 since it'll get more use out of its performance range.

or bigger cams. but no need to tear it apart now just for that to do it again later.
