1993 civic starts sometimes and not others

1993 civic starts sometimes and not others
I have a 1993 Honda civic.
I just bought it.
It's standard.
When I turn the key I get the power to everything.
But sometimes it starts and sometimes it dosent.
As far as I know it's not a fuse. But i was told it blows one everyone
once and awhile none are blown and none blew.
The first time I had power to everything, second time samething.
Third time just for ***** and giggles wahlaa it started runs and drives like a champ. What could it be?
How does the car know the clutch is in?
Any help would be appericated.
